recorded at Sound Suite Recording Studio London UK October 2000
recorded by Satoru Fujii

On my previous album "blue", Louis wrote the song about blue butterflies flying around first, and after hearing his image of the song, I wrote the lyrics. We had been saying that we wanted to try it the opposite way around next time. I sent him my Japanese lyrics written phonetically in the alphabet and a detailed translation, and he sent me back a tape of him singing in beautiful Japanese. I wanted the sound of Johan from Sweden and Maria from Finland, and asked them to come to London just to take part in this recording with us. Kate's arrangement is beautiful. The other musicians who came to the studio were also interested in the nyckelharpa.
